27-Inch Mini-LED Display from Apple is Predicted to Launch in Q1 2023

Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) analyst Ross Young claims that Apple intends to introduce a 27-inch mini-LED external monitor in the first quarter of 2023.

Young said in a tweet sent to her super fans that Apple has “pushed” the monitor’s release date to Q1 2023. Young is likely referring to the months of January through March, which make up the first quarter of the 2023 calendar year.

Young stated that Apple planned to release the mini-LED display at some point in early 2023 while appearing as a guest on the MacRumors podcast in July. Young had initially anticipated that Apple will unveil the display at WWDC in June, but he revealed in May that the debut had to be postponed until October due to design issues. Young thinks Apple is now shooting for 2023 because the business can’t fulfil its October objective either.

Apple has been struggling with supply issues for a number of its goods, including Macs and its displays, throughout 2022, which could be the cause of the delay.

Mini-LED technology and ProMotion support are rumoured to be included in Apple’s next display, enabling up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The Pro Display XDR, a larger 6K display, won’t likely be directly replaced by the gadget. Instead, it will resemble the Apple Studio Display, a 27-inch panel.

It is anticipated that the rumoured 27-inch panel will cost more than the Studio Display, which starts at $1,599. This is because it will enable ProMotion and use mini-LED technology.
