A deleted scene from House of the Dragon suggests that Daemon is a catastrophe by

The most recent case of queer-baiting on House of the Dragon puts the spotlight on the program’s beloved yet chaotic bad guy Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith), who (let’s be honest) emanates appeal to everyone. Fans have already remarked that the conflict between Alicent and Rhaenyra stems from their sapphic affinities, and that young Leanor’s love interest turned into a “buried your gays” tragedy. The way the show treats its LGBT characters is a catastrophe! Therefore, this quiet unveiling doesn’t really count.

The Targaryen prince appeared to be getting along well with a waitress in last week’s episode, and Daemon and his wife Laena appeared to be getting a good bargain on their extended-stay Airbnb in Pentos. It stands out more in a deleted scene where Laena walks past Daemon and the lusciously haired man having an intimate relationship.

Therefore, being bi is definitely an option, if you get what I mean. Additionally, we know Daemon won’t deprive himself of any pleasure he desires, whether it be from his lovely Valyrian wife or passing amusement while they wait for the birth of their most recent child. We’re disappointed we didn’t get to see more of Laena because she was obviously down with their opulent lifestyle and was also a badass dragon rider, and the latter ended tragically—very on brand for Game of Thrones. They reminded me a lot of Oberyn and Ellaria.

On Sundays, House of the Dragon airs on HBO and HBO Max.
