ABC executives are reportedly removing all trace of Amy Robach and TJ Holmes: ‘The TV Industry Is Tough.’

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes’ alleged affair attracted much of the entertainment world’s attention towards the end of last year. ABC decided to break company with the GMA3 hosts after weeks of conjecture (and an internal inquiry). Robach and Holmes both signed separation agreements at the end of January. Their next professional moves are rather uncertain at the time, as they’ve yet to be picked up by another news outlet. Nevertheless, their old employer appears to be looking to move on, and according to a new story, executives at the alphabet network have been seeking to remove all evidence of them from headquarters.

T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach were regulars at ABC News, with the former joining in 2014 and the latter in 2012. Despite they were apparently two of the company’s most renowned people, one would not know that now. According to a source who spoke to RadarOnline.com, there is no indication of the pair in the offices. Another “rough” detail sheds some light on their purported interactions with their former coworkers:

These latest charges are consistent with what has been reported in recent weeks. At the end of January, it appeared that GMA3 had abandoned its former co-anchors. The show removed their names from the intro statement after the exit deals were signed. “Now from Times Square, Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes with what you need to know,” it used to say. But, in the aftermath of their departures, it became “Now from Times Square, here’s what you need to know.” On the surface, it was a minor detail, but it conveyed a powerful message.

Despite ABC News having moved on from the contentious workplace relationship and subsequent probe, things at the network are far from perfect. GMA’s ratings have witnessed a decline as of late, after witnessing a boost near the end of 2022. (The increase coincided with the start of the rumors.) Permanent replacement anchors have yet to be named, with DeMarco Morgan and Rhiannon Ally doing most of the work. Surprisingly, Ally was already rumored to be taking a week off from the show just last week.

Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes, on the other hand, appear to be having a good time with their “funemployment.” The two recently spent time in Mexico, where paparazzi captured images of them engaged in PDA. This appears to disprove claims that their relationship is “suffocating” due to their current professional situations. Robach also put her severance package to good use by purchasing a $2.3 million New York penthouse property. Despite the fact that they have yet to find work, sources believe Holmes and Robach may return to daytime television due to the nature of the landscape.

The audience will undoubtedly continue to monitor the two stars as they plan their future steps. It also appears evident that ABC will continue to distance itself from them. But the network is going to want to play it smart as GMA3 enters this new era. If anything, this recent assessment looks to be right in stating that “the TV business is difficult.”
