In an interview with Town & Country, Jennifer Garner discussed turning 50 in April and her desire for birthday party attendees to make a charitable donation.
Given that she organised her own 50th birthday party, Jennifer Garner would know that it was unforgettable.
The actress revealed to Town & Country in a cover interview for the magazine’s November Philanthropy Issue how she celebrated her milestone birthday back in April.
Garner laughed and stated, “I practically had a wedding for myself,” adding that she was “surprised that [she] was the one doing it.”
The star of the Adam Project continued by saying that she and her guests danced to the Osborne Brothers’ “Rocky Top” and that she “put everyone to work” for a good cause.
How so? In support of the Blessings in a Backpack initiative, the co-founder of Once Upon a Farm requested that guests fill 5,000 backpacks with enough food to feed a family of four as part of her birthday party.
Garner revealed to Extra a month before to her birthday that her family will be coming to help her celebrate the event, which fell on Easter this year.
“I turn 50 on Easter Sunday, yes. I have tickets for my family to attend. My sisters, parents, nieces, and nephews. I have no idea what we’ll do, but I must hurry “said Garner, a West Virginia native.
When Garner’s birthday came around, Reese Witherspoon, Rita Wilson, Maria Shriver, and Ina Garten were among the celebrities to wish her well.
The Yes Day singer also received a pleasant surprise from legendary musician Donny Osmond prior to her birthday celebrations.
“He gave me a master class on how to be a class act while spending an hour and a half of his day sitting with me and singing my favourite songs. I appreciate it, Donny “Garner added captions to a video of the charming scene.
Scott Foley from 2000 to 2004 and Ben Affleck from 2005 until 2018 were Garner’s previous husbands.
In July, 50-year-old Affleck wed Jennifer Lopez in Las Vegas. They were married the next month and had a wedding celebration weekend in Georgia.
Garner wasn’t present at the Georgia celebration because she was in South Carolina at the time, as evidenced in pictures that TMZ obtained, but their kids were.
Daughters Violet, 16, and Seraphina, 13, as well as son Samuel, 10, are all shared by Garner and Affleck.
