Nigerian singer-songwriter Adekunle Gold looks riveting in the photoshoot of the Yoruba Music Documentary, “The Odyssey”.
The singer plays a considerable role in the creation of this project, accepting the role of a co-producer, which is an interesting and uncharted territory for him.
“The Odyssey” tells the story of Yoruba music and its growth into Afrobeats, a widely accepted and recognised African music genre. The documentary takes the viewers a hundred years back, leaving no stone unturned in the discovery of Yoruba music and the defining point for Afrobeats in the history of music.
Though it is still in production, “The Odyssey” will be directed by Abba T. Malama, Bọbọ Omotayo will be the executive producer, and Adekunle Gold, Tosin Ashafa, Papa Omotayo will also be producers.
