T.J. Miller and Ryan Reynolds

After an awkward incident on the set of “Deadpool,” T.J. Miller claims he won’t collaborate with Ryan Reynolds again.

The actor, who is best known for portraying Weasel in the previous two movies, claimed that Reynolds transformed as a result of his fame as “Deadpool,” and he added, “It’s funny that he hates me.”

Marvel fans won’t need to seek for him in the upcoming Deadpool 3 film, according to T.J. Miller.

The actor recently appeared as a guest on The Adam Corolla Show podcast. He portrayed the main character’s close pal Weasel in the enormously successful 2016 original film and its subsequent 2018 sequel. Following what he described as an unsatisfactory on-set interaction between them, Miller stated during the interview that he had no plans to collaborate with Ryan Reynolds once more.

The guest said, “I got along with Ryan a lot better on the first Deadpool because he wasn’t a great, huge movie celebrity,” when presenter Adam Corolla asked Miller whether he is close to Reynolds, who plays the movie’s titular superhero. Miller said he loved Reynolds “as a comedian,” but following the first movie’s enormous popularity, he thought Reynolds had changed.

Will I collaborate with him again? No, I wouldn’t collaborate with him once more, Miller stated. But since then, Michael Bay and I have become friends, and I would work with him once more. But Michael Bay, in my opinion, is unique.

Miller went on to say about Reynolds that “it’s weird that he hates me” and then described a tense moment during filming that he claims involved the star riffing as the acerbic Deadpool: “We had a really weird moment on Deadpool where he said, ‘Let’s do one more take.’ Then, acting the part, he treated me horribly unfairly, treating me like Weasel. He then said, “You know what I really admire about you, Weasel? Even though you’re not the main character, you provide just enough exposition to make it amusing so that we can move on to the actual movie.

Miller described the alleged encounter as “not a pleasant experience for me” and noted that he and other cast members were confused of how to react. Miller stated that he doesn’t wish the franchise bad will but would have no intention of returning, even though he also hinted that he was not requested to return. Miller claimed that he never asked Reynolds about the incident. The next Deadpool 3 movie, directed by Shawn Levy, will mark the franchise’s entrance into Disney’s Marvel Cinematic Universe. Tim Miller and David Leitch previously directed the first and second films in the series.

Miller continued, “I would not have done Deadpool 3 if they came to me and were like, ‘We want you to do Deadpool 3, and we’re going to pay you twice as much.'” Miller later described Reynolds as “sort of an insecure person.”

“I think he should do a Deadpool 3 and keep making movies,” he concluded. I simply believe that he dislikes me, and I found his manner of expressing it to be peculiar. I’ve reached a point in my life when I’m not required to watch Deadpool 3. Miller continued by stating that his mindset against playing the same role for “more than five years” was another factor in his departure from HBO’s Silicon Valley.

An inquiry for comment was not immediately answered by a Reynolds spokesman.

Miller, who is well-known for the movies Cloverfield and Ready Player One, has faced his share of unfavourable press. Miller was accused of prior violent behaviour and sexual assault in 2017 by an unnamed female classmate; he vigorously refuted the claims.

In the year that followed, Silicon Valley actor Alice Wetterlund tweeted that Miller was a “bully and petulant brat” while she was on the show and that other strong characters on the comedy series’ staff encouraged him. In a statement at the time, HBO stated that the business was “disappointed to learn of her worries.”
