Singer Paul Okoye, also known as Rudeboy, has responded to the EFCC’s arraignment of his older brother, Jude Okoye, and his company, Northside Music Ltd, on February 26.
Jude appeared before Justice Alexander Owoeye of the Federal High Court in Ikoyi, Lagos, facing a seven-count charge related to alleged money laundering of ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59.
Reacting to the development, Paul expressed his support, assuring his brother that “this too shall pass” and urging him to “stay strong.” He also hinted that someone had orchestrated the situation but did not specify who.
The case follows a revelation by Paul’s twin brother, Peter Okoye, who disclosed last year that he had filed a petition with the EFCC after discovering that Jude had allegedly opened a secret company and diverted funds from their joint business.
Jude denied the allegations, insisting that his company was not secret. He clarified that while he and his brothers co-own a joint company, they each have their private businesses—Peter with P-Classic and Paul with Rude Boy Record.
