‘Always Be Thinking, Even If It’s About Your Grocery List,’ says Josh Radnor of Al Pacino’s legendary acting advice.

Josh Radnor and Al Pacino co-starred in the first season of Prime Video’s Hunters.

Josh Radnor once received words of wisdom from a Hollywood legend, and they have stayed with him ever since.

Radnor, 48, spoke with PEOPLE at the NYC premiere of Fleishman Is in Trouble about the powerful piece of advice he takes with him to other acting projects.
He remembered being on the set of Prime Video’s Hunters series and asking costar Al Pacino a specific question.

“Well, I asked him, ‘If you have a scene where it’s mostly about listening and you’re not doing all the talking, how do you —'”
Radnor started.

“He simply stated, ‘Never stop thinking.’
Never, ever stop thinking.’ “He went on, recalling Pacino’s advice.
“‘The camera enjoys contemplation.
Always be thinking, even if it’s about your grocery list.'”

That was far from the only question Radnor posed to Pacino, 82, during their time working together.
That experience also left the How I Met Your Mother alum with a favourable impression of Pacino’s talent.

“Sometimes, we just get to go ‘Inside the Actor’s Studio’ with him and ask him a million questions,” he added.
“And most of the time, he’s a fantastic storyteller.
Working with someone with that much history and recognition is a lot of fun.”

Season 2 of Hunters has already been ordered, but no release date has been set.
The first season of the fictional crime drama, which premiered in 2020, followed a group of Nazi hunters in 1970s America.

Though the series is fictitious, it is inspired by real historical groups that hunted down Nazis for vengeance even after WWII ended.

Season 2 of the show will reportedly centre on a new antagonist Adolf Hitler.
“I’m going to get in trouble for saying this, but we’ve finished filming in the United States and will be shooting in Europe in the coming days,” series creator David Weil told Entertainment Weekly in 2021.

When asked if he would return for season 2, Pacino replied, “no comment.”
