AR Rahman to take a break from music after divorce with ex-wife Saira Banu? Here’s what son AR Ameen has to say

Music maestro AR Rahman announced his separation from his wife Saira Banu. This piece of news left everyone shocked. Post this news, now there are reports which state that the Oscar-winning music composer would be taking a break for one year. Yes, you read that right. Rahman will take a year-long break after his divorce. Rahman and Banu’s son, AR Ameen has reacted to the ongoing rumours about his father and clarified about the same. He said that Rahman is not taking the break, and the news reports are fake which state that he will take a long sabbatical. The legendary musician AR Rahman shocked his fans as he announced separation from his wife Saira after being together for 29 years. The two tied the knot on March 12, 1995, and their children Khatija Rahman, Raheema Rahman, and AR Ameen reacted to their parents’ separation as they requested everyone to respect their privacy.

Khatija and Raheema took to their Instagram Stories as they wrote, ‘I would greatly appreciate it if this matter could be treated with the utmost privacy and respect. Thank you for your consideration’. AR Ameen wrote, ‘We kindly respect everyone to respect our privacy during this time. Thank you for your understanding’.

AR Rahman also reacted as he wrote, ‘We had hoped to reach the grand thirty, but all things, it seems, carry an unseen end. Even the throne of God might tremble at the weight of broken hearts. Yet, in this shattering, we seek meaning, though the pieces may not find their place again. To our friends, thank you for your kindness and for respecting our privacy as we walk through this fragile chapter’.
