Are more cameras better on the Galaxy Z Fold 4 than the Galaxy S22 Ultra?

Recently, we made a side-by-side comparison of the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy S22 cameras, and the findings were unexpected. The more expensive Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy S22 Ultra will be the subject of our next camera comparison video, which you can view below.

In our most recent video, we compared the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and S22 Ultra in a number of areas, including video recording, landscape and selfie photography, both in the day and at night. Here is a brief explanation, however for much more information, we strongly suggest watching the movie below.

Galaxy S22 Ultra vs. Galaxy Z Fold 4 for mobile photography
Because the Galaxy S22 Ultra features a dedicated periscope shooter with 10x optical zoom capabilities, it has a natural advantage in the telephoto camera arena. The Galaxy Z Fold 4 can attain a 3x optical zoom, but the S22 Ultra appears to give a greater level of image quality even at that level.

The Galaxy S22 Ultra appears to generate photographs that are sharper and more detailed while taking ultrawide photos during the day, while the Galaxy Z Fold 4 produces images with more shadow detail and more vivid colours. The outcomes resemble those of our recent Z Flip 4 vs. S22 comparison to some extent.

In reality, there are additional areas where this disparity between the two camera systems’ workings can be seen. In general, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 camera seems to capture more vivid colours, while the Galaxy S22 Ultra typically provides cleaner, noise-free shots.

In contrast to the Z Fold 4, the Galaxy S22 Ultra excels while photographing nighttime landscapes. The same can be said for video recording, with the Galaxy Z Fold 4’s inability to record 4K 60fps films with the ultrawide sensor being one of its biggest drawbacks. Through a software update, Samsung could probably fix this, but it might not.
