As the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro approach, the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro receive significant discounts.

Google’s fall hardware showcase is starting to feel that much more real as August comes to a halfway mark. While we don’t yet have an official release date, rumors suggest that the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro will go on sale on October 6th. This gives us a strong indicator that Google’s newest hardware will likely receive a formal announcement and unveiling somewhere during the first week of October. That indicates that it will be just over 7 weeks before we get a complete look at what Google is preparing to reveal.

We are aware that the Pixel Watch will join the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro during the event, but we also have cause to be a little bit hopeful for a Pixel 7 Ultra and perhaps a tease or initial look at the folding Google Notepad. It’s time to start bidding farewell to last year’s models, at least from a retail perspective, with all that hardware on the horizon.

Huge price reductions on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro
Unsurprisingly, Google is attempting to sell off its remaining inventory of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro phones through both the Google Store and other stores including Amazon, Best Buy, and Target. The Pixel 6 Pro (all variants) will be discounted by $250, while the Pixel 6 will be discounted by a less startling $100. As a result, you may purchase the Pixel 6 Pro for the regular price of $649 (128GB) and the Pixel 6 at the regular price of $499. (128GB).

Additionally, the higher-specified versions of both phones still come with a discount, making the 256GB and 512GB Pixel 6 Pros available for $749 and $849, respectively. With this new price, you can purchase the Pixel 6 for $599 as the only improvement is the switch to 256GB. Even though it’s still a great offer, if you can pull it off, I’d recommend taking advantage of the $250 discount on the Pixel 6 Pro.

I’ve been quite open about my experiences with both the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, acknowledging that my first assessments of the Pixel 6 Pro were rather inaccurate. After using both phones for some time, I have decided that I am solidly in the Pro camp. With the price down to $649, I would heartily suggest this phone to just about anyone. When you can acquire a phone like the Pixel 6 Pro for this kind of money and the whole user experience has been so good, it just makes sense to take advantage.

The Google Store, Amazon, Best Buy, and Target all now have this latest sale running, but it appears to be ending on Monday, September 5. That offers you some time to think about it, but it also guarantees that many others will take full advantage of this deal. Given that the Cloudy White variant is now listed as being on a waitlist on the Google Store, supplies are probably limited. If you’re thinking about getting one of these phones, you should probably move quickly before the color options start to run out. I don’t believe Google will have any trouble moving a sizable amount of inventory at these prices.
