Battery information for the Apple Watch Ultra: mAh capacity and LTE impact

The most significant update to the Apple Watch since its debut is the new Apple Watch Ultra. When it officially debuts later this month, the Apple Watch Ultra is expected to amaze thanks to a brand-new design, an emphasis on toughness and extreme activities, and a multiday battery life.

New regulatory filings have disclosed additional Apple Watch Ultra specifications prior to its debut. A warning is included with Apple’s 36-hour claim on the Apple Watch Ultra’s product page.

Details about the Apple Watch battery capacity
The most noteworthy information released by these files is more information regarding the battery size, which was initially reported by MySmartPrice. The battery within the Apple Watch Ultra is 76% larger than the battery inside the 45mm Apple Watch Series 8 and 92% larger than the 41mm, according to regulatory filings.

According to Apple, the Apple Watch Ultra can last up to 36 hours on a charge, which is double the amount of time the Apple Watch Series 8 can stay on a charge. Here are all the specifics:

40mm Apple Watch SE: 245 mAh
44mm Apple Watch SE: 296 mAh
Series 8 Apple Watch 41mm: 282 mAh
Series 7 Apple Watch, 41 mm, 284 mAh
Series 8 Apple Watch 45mm: 308 mAh
Series 7 Apple Watch 45mm: 308 mAh
49mm Apple Watch Ultra 542 mAh

Apple Watch Ultra battery life with LTE
In the meantime, there’s a fascinating fact to consider regarding the Apple Watch Ultra’s actual battery life. According to Apple, the Apple Watch Ultra has a battery life of “up to” 36 hours. However, as stated on the Apple Watch Ultra’s product features page, using LTE would result in a considerable reduction in battery life.

When linked to LTE, Apple Watch Ultra can run for up to 18 hours on a single charge:

Cellular is included into every Apple Watch Ultra.

With a service package, you can stay connected for up to 18 hours on a single charge of your LTE device. With international roaming, it functions practically anywhere.

According to Apple, its claim of a 36-hour battery life is based on an overall eight-hour LTE connection and a 28-hour Bluetooth connection to an iPhone throughout that time.

Every Apple Watch model has a reduced battery life when used only on LTE as opposed to Bluetooth pairing with an iPhone close by. It’s interesting that Apple withholds battery life information for the Apple Watch Series 8 while it’s only linked to LTE.

The 18-hour claim for the Apple Watch Series 8 is instead based, according to Apple, on a total of four hours of LTE connection and 14 hours of Bluetooth connection to an iPhone over the period of 18 hours.
