Phase 4 proposes a purpose-built student accommodation block designed by architect PRP.
The plans show 377 bedrooms, student amenity spaces – including a first-floor garden and 7th-floor roof terrace – and 487 sqm of ground floor commercial space and landscaped public realm.
As with the previous phases of Hallsville Quarter, Bouygues UK will be the main contractor. With planning permission now granted by the London Borough of Newham, construction is expected to begin towards the end of the year and be completed in summer 2025.
Phase 4 marks the penultimate phase of the Hallsville Quarter Masterplan, which will also have 1,100 new homes, a hotel, up to 30,000 sqm of leisure, work and retail space and community facilities including a health centre.
Linkcity managing director Phillippa Prongué, who joined the company from Apex Airspace last year, said: “It’s exciting to see the new town centre coming on at pace and students will bring vitality and diversity to this community.”
