Britney Spears sells her Calabasas mansion for $10.1 million.

The residence was held by the “Gimme More” singer and her husband for only eight months.

 

Britney Spears has sold her large one-story Calabasas estate, which she began looking for an off-market buyer for in January, according to Dirt. Despite her request for $12 million, Spears received only $10.1 million from the deal, which is $1.7 million less than what she spent for the home just eight months ago. According to TMZ, the singer purchased the home following her marriage to fitness trainer Sam Asghari, but she left soon after due to privacy concerns.

 

The home, which sits on 1.6 acres of ground within the elite gated Estates at The Oaks neighborhood, comprises a main house and a guest cottage, each with seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms. Spears’ brief tenure with the mansion allowed no opportunity for updates, so the new owners will have their work cut out for them (if they so desire), as the 2018-build is grand but outmoded.

 

You enter through beautifully wrought iron doors from a porticoed entrance into a cream-colored double-height foyer, complete with matching mirrors, candelabras, and wooden consoles lining either side of the broad room. Stone flooring, onyx, and hardwood highlight soaring ceilings and arched passageways throughout the property, all carved with classical ornamental motifs like pilasters and acanthus leaves. The majority of the finishes are beige and taupe, with the exception of a dark-colored movie theatre and a lounge area with dark parquet flooring and leather-clad seats and stools, as well as dark wood paneling that surrounds a bar.

 

The master suite includes a fireplace, lounging area, terrace, dual walk-in closets the size of a small boutique, and a fitness room. Additional features include a fireplace in the living room and formal dining room, a wood-paneled study, a wine cellar, and a chef’s kitchen with a big island and high-end appliances mostly hidden behind the cabinetry.

 

A 2,000-square-foot patio with a fireplace, BBQ station, and plenty of seating is available outside. The resort-style yard beyond has a 55-foot pool and Jacuzzi, as well as a waterslide and tiered waterfalls.
