Nigerian music artists Burna Boy and Odumodublvck concluded the 2024 BET Hip Hop Awards without any awards, despite receiving notable nominations.

Burna Boy, nominated for Best Live Performer, was surpassed by the legendary rapper Missy Elliott, while Odumodublvck was unable to secure the Best International Flow award, which was awarded to British rapper Ghetts.

The standout performer of the evening was Kendrick Lamar, who garnered eight awards from his eleven nominations, including Hip-Hop Artist of the Year, Song of the Year for “Not Like Us,” and Best Hip-Hop Video. Megan Thee Stallion, despite leading the nominations with twelve, left the event without any wins.

Other significant winners included Nicki Minaj, who received the Hip-Hop Album of the Year award for Pink Friday 2, and Sexyy Red, who was honored as Best Breakthrough Hip-Hop Artiste. The award for Best Duo or Group went to Future & Metro Boomin.
