Butcher Brown will release new album ‘Letters From The Atlantic’ on March 28th.

The band blend jazz chops with a deep passion for hip-hop, allowing their shows to take on a soulful, improvisatory feel. Heading back into the studio, Butcher Brown have now laid out plans for their next step, and it’s laden with special guests.

New album ‘Letters From The Atlantic’ is out on March 28thwith the group commenting…

“We want this full record to feel like you’re floating on a trip up and down the coast – from the Chesapeake Bay to New York, down to Florida and over to Europe. It’s taking you on a journey, and you can determine what each song reminds you of. It’s a story of everything we listen to, capturing nostalgia for Virginia, the East Coast and overseas. We’re pulling sounds from The Atlantic…”

Guests on the record include Yaya Bey,MelanieCharles,NicholasPaytonand more, with new single ‘Ibiza’ out now.

A salute to the atmosphere of the White Island, ‘Ibiza’ blends Butcher Brown’s chops with a passion for deep house, a sound firmly embedded in the clubs of New York and New Jersey.

Gently uplifting, there’s a subtle swagger to the way Butcher Brown execute these daring about-turns. The band continue:

“We recorded that joint with the idea of it tapping into deep house music – the kind you’d hear in a dance club in New York or the UK. We’re all producers, so we’re thinking of the samples a DJ would find and chop up into a groove. But do it all live, no samples, reimagining it in our own way,” says Butcher Brown. “We’re paying tribute to DJs and producers that inspire us, like Theo Parrish, Jazzy Jeff, DJ Spinna, Karizma and DJ Scratch. We’re also trying to manifest our live debut in Ibiza once they hear it.”

Tune in now.
