Christine Brown, star of ‘Sister Wives,’ reveals the “wake up call” that led her to leave Kody.

Christine Brown described the “wake-up call” that led her to leave Kody after 27 years.
She said she lost faith in him after he failed to travel to New Jersey for their daughter Ysabel’s surgery.
“I didn’t need him any longer,” the “Sister Wives” actress explained.

Christine Brown of TLC’s “Sister Wives” revealed the “wake-up call” that made her realise she needed to leave her husband Kody in a recent People interview.

“He broke my little girl’s heart,” she said, referring to an incident depicted in season 16 of the hit reality show, which follows Kody’s life with Christine and his three current wives, Meri, 51, Janelle, 53, and Robyn, 43.

Christine and Kody have six children together, and their 19-year-old daughter Ysabel will need scoliosis surgery in September 2020, early in the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kody has 18 children in total between his previous and current wives, and he was attempting to maintain strict COVID protocols among his households at the time. As a result, he declined Christine’s invitation to accompany him to New Jersey to support Ysabel following her surgery.

“COVID and why he couldn’t come were clear to me, but she wasn’t. And she’s still having trouble with it “According to Christine,

People at the hospital would ask Christine, 50, where Kody was. But being without him wasn’t difficult for her; in fact, it was enlightening.

“It served as a good wake-up call. Of course, I would have preferred to have him there because it was what Ysabel required. But I didn’t require him any longer “She stated.

Christine’s opinion of her then-husband changed as a result of Kody’s decision not to be with their daughter at the time. “It’s really difficult for me to stay with a guy I don’t respect,” she explained. “I realised we didn’t really have a partnership because we needed more communication and trust.”

Christine and Kody announced their spiritual divorce in November, and Christine has since relocated to Utah with her 12-year-old son, Truely.

She told People that she wants to start dating again, but that she isn’t quite ready.

“I want a guy who truly loves me and wants to be intimate with me,” the “Cooking With Christine” star said, hinting at a future romance.

On September 11, the new season of “Sister Wives,” which will follow Christine and Kody’s divorce, will premiere.
