The Pronto, a smart pressure cooker and air fryer, has been unveiled by CookingPal. The eight-in-one device can steam and saute, with a built-in weighing scale to make your food preparation easier. You can control the cooker using an integrated screen or the accompanying smartphone app.

The CookingPal Pronto is a new smart pressure cooker. The gadget has eight functions, including sauteing, steaming and fermenting. An integrated scale enables you to weigh ingredients straight into the pot. Plus, another slightly unusual feature of the device is food sanitization. The company claims that the Pronto is the first pressure cooked on the market with a hinged lid and automatic pressure release. To keep this built-in pressure release system safe, it comes with a steam diverter and sensors to protect anyone in the vicinity.

Thanks to an attachment, Alto, you can also use the Pronto as an air fryer, enabling you to roast and grill with the cooker. The device has a removable 6 quart (~6 L) pot, which the company suggests is enough for a family of four. Cleverly, the bowl’s handle remains cool, making it easier to manoeuvre. You can use the CookingPal app to control the Pronto and track the progress of your cooking. Alternatively, you can adjust the gadget’s settings using the product’s dial and 4.3-in (~10.9 cm) color display.

The smart pressure cooker follows on from the Multo, a combined food preparation and cooking device launched by the company in 2021. The CookingPal Pronto will launch in Q3 of 2023 for US$279. The Alto air fryer attachment is expected to arrive later in the year costing US$119. The Multo currently retails for US$999.
