X influencer, Daniel Reghahas weighed in on the recent re-arrest of Nigerian musician and rapper, Darlington Okoye, better known as Speed Darlingtonstating that the arrest is justified. Regha made his opinion known in a tweet on Wednesday, offering his reaction to the incident that has sparked attention across social media.
Speed Darlington’s re-arrest comes after his initial run-in with the law over his controversial comments regarding Burna Boy‘s Grammy win and his alleged involvement with embattled American rapper, Diddy Combs. The Nigerian musician was initially arrested, but his time behind bars was brief before he was granted bail. However, upon returning to Nigeria, Speed Darlington was rearrested in Imo State shortly after his arrival. This move by the authorities has drawn mixed reactions from the public and fans of the rapper.
In his tweet, Daniel Regha justified the rearrest, stating that Speed Darlington’s actions warranted such a response. He mentioned that the rapper has continued to slander Burna Boy’s name even after his initial arrest, suggesting that Darlington has not learned from the consequences of his previous actions. Regha also pointed out that, instead of condemning Speed Darlington for his behavior, many people have cheered him on, which, according to Regha, has encouraged him to keep making inflammatory remarks. He concluded by stating that there is a limit to what a person can tolerate, implying that Burna Boy, in particular, may have reached his breaking point with Darlington’s continued slanderous actions.
