Davido featured on King Charles’ playlist on Apple Music

Davido‘s hit single “KANTE” from the album “Timeless” was included in King Charles’s Apple Music playlist.

“KANTE,” a track produced by Damie with vocals from Nigerian songstress FAVE, came out in September 2023.

For this year’s Commonwealth Day, His Majesty King Charles III presents “His Majesty King Charles III’s Playlist” to maintain everyone’s interest.

“His Majesty King Charles III’s Playlist,” a collection of seventeen tracks, showcases music from artists like DavidoBob Marley, Kylie Minogue, Grace Jones, Beyoncé, RAYE, and more.

The song’s inclusion in “His Majesty King Charles III’s Playlist”—a broadcast recorded in Charles’ Buckingham Palace office—is a nod to its universal pull.

Upon releasing the playlist, King Charles III stated:

“I wanted to share with you songs which have brought me joy,” His Majesty King Charles III tells Apple Music. “They evoke many different styles and many different cultures.

But all of them, like the family of Commonwealth nations, in their many different ways, share the same love of life in all its richness and diversity.”

With these songs compiled for his Apple Music Radio show, The King’s Music Room, the King invites us to journey with him to all corners of the world as he celebrates Afrobeats stars, crooners, pop phenoms, reggae legends, disco greats, and more.

“I can only hope you have enjoyed these few songs I have had time to share with you,” he says. “Perhaps you have heard some of your own favorite pieces—and perhaps you may have discovered something new.”
