‘Deciding end-of-life matters’ for Tom Sizemore’s family: ‘There is no more hope.’

According to his publicist, actor Tom Sizemore’s family is currently “deciding end-of-life concerns” after getting information from specialists.

“Doctors notified his family today that there is no longer hope and have suggested an end-of-life decision. “The family is currently deciding on end-of-life issues, and a further statement will be published on Wednesday,” Sizemore’s manager Charles Lago said in a statement obtained by The Post.

“We are asking for privacy for his family during this difficult time and they would to thank everyone for the hundreds of words of support, and prayers that have been received. It’s been a trying period for them.”

Sizemore, 61, was hospitalized following a brain aneurysm earlier this month, and he “has remained in critical condition, in a coma and in intensive care” ever since, according to the statement.

According to Lago, Sizemore’s brain aneurysm was triggered by a stroke he suffered on Feb. 18 at his Los Angeles residence, which prompted him to collapse and be brought to the hospital.

Around 2 a.m., an unidentified person discovered the “Saving Private Ryan” star unconscious and contacted 911.

In 1989, he had a brief role in Oliver Stone’s film “Born on the Fourth of July,” and he played Sgt. Vinnie Ventresca on ABC’s “China Beach” at about the same time. In addition to “Heat,” “Natural Born Killers,” “Pearl Harbor,” “Black Hawk Down,” “Lock Up,” “Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man,” “Point Break,” “True Romance,” and “Strange Days,” he appeared in a number of other films.

But he is best remembered for his portrayal of Sgt. Mike Horvath in the 1998 World War II film “Saving Private Ryan,” for which he received five Academy Awards.

Sizemore has recently appeared in episodes of the TV shows “Twin Peaks” and “Cobra Kai.” In 2022, he appeared in “The Tale of Jack and Diane,” one of his final films. He is also involved in projects scheduled for 2023 and 2024.

The troubled actor also struggled with narcotics and had run-ins with the authorities.

Sizemore battled cocaine, heroin, and methamphetamine addictions and was arrested for drug possession and domestic abuse. He appeared on Dr. Drew’s “Celebrity Rehab” in 2010.

He was convicted of domestic abuse against his then-girlfriend, Heidi Fleiss, in 2003.
