With the same rugged design as its predecessor, the Doogee S99 will launch with a camera trio that consists of a 108 MP main shooter which is accompanied by a 16 MP camera for both ultra-wide shots and macros, as well as a 64 MP night vision camera. The first batch will go on sale soon for a promotional price of US$179.
The MediaTek Helio G96-powered Doogee S98 will soon receive a successor. Obviously, its name is Doogee S99. Unfortunately, the soon-to-be-launched rugged smartphone will not come with a processor upgrade. However, it will sport a refreshed design and an entirely new camera system.
Scheduled to hit the market on December 22, the Doogee S99 focuses on bringing together a 108 MP main camera, a 16 MP shooter for both macros and ultra-wide shots, as well as a 64 MP night vision sensor that uses two infrared lights. According to Doogee, this camera can capture accurate night shots in a 15 to 20-meter range. With 8 GB of memory and 128 GB internal storage (with support for microSD cards up to 1 TB), it also sports a 6,000 mAh battery with 33 W fast charging and 15 W wireless charging.
In addition to the above, the Doogee S99 also comes with a 6.3-inch display that is most likely the same as the one with 1080 X 2340 pixels and 60 Hz refresh used in its predecessor. Sadly, 5G connectivity is not in the cards, but at least NFC support is present. Although Doogee has not specified it, the phone will most likely launch running Android 12.
The global debut price tag reads US$179, with an original retail price of US$329. As usual, it will surface on AliExpress and DoogeeMall first, with other online stores to add it to their portfolios in a few days after these two as well.

In my early school days, I hated writing and having to make up stories. A decade later, I started to enjoy it. Since then, I published a few offline articles and then I moved to the online space, where I contributed to major websites that are still present online as of 2021 such as Softpedia, Brothersoft, Download3000, but I also wrote for multiple blogs that have disappeared over the years. I’ve been riding with the Notebookcheck crew since 2013 and I am not planning to leave it anytime soon. In love with good mechanical keyboards, vinyl and tape sound, but also smartphones, streaming services, and digital art.
