Dubai-based gospel star Linda Darling speaks on comparisons to Angela Chibalonza amidst new hit

Flaunt Weeekly Did Linda Darling release a new hit?

Linda revealed that singing was mandatory in her family while growing up, and she credited her Music teacher for identifying her talent.

“Singing games were mandatory in our family and as such, I developed a hobby and at a later stage in primary school, our Music teacher, Mr Chegeso may his soul rest in peace identified singing as a talent and helped me nurture and train my voice. As for family, Yes. I’ve always had my family support from my lovely father all the way to my brothers & even extended family,” she said.

The songstress revealed that she was inspired by Whitney Houston’s vocal range.

“I am inspired by Whitney Houston’s vocal range, her love for God, especially when she sang I love the Lord, and, of course, Ms Kim Burrell. They both inspire me in my music career,” she shared.

Linda revealed that she has lived in Dubai for nearly all her adult life. She also talked about people likening her music to the late Angela Chibalonza.

“I am blessed to hear that my rendition is similar to hers my ultimate goal is to bring diversity into music,” she said.

She advised artists struggling with their art to put in the effort and ask God for guidance.

“God first, Pray a lot and put in the effort. God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him,” Linda added.

Her new hit Nimefunikwa has a touch of Amapiano.

Flaunt Weeekly Remembering late Angela Chibalonza

TUKO.co.ke previously reported that Chibalonza left Congo immediately after completing her secondary education and came to Kenya to pursue her career in music.

Her family was happy for her, and she became a star, but unfortunately, death came calling in 2007.

Chibalonza was set to release her latest album, Nimekutana na Yesu at Nairobi Cinema in Nairobi, on September 29, 2007, but that never happened.
