Remember last week when Kylie Jenner and Selena Gomez were tied for the most Instagram followers with over 380 million each? On February 22, Selena’s follow count topped Kylie’s, making her the most followed woman in the world—but Kylie now appears to be losing followers.

 

According to the Daily Mail, Kylie has lost an estimated 1 million followers in the last week, bringing her total to 379 million from 380 million. Nevertheless, Selena’s follower count has risen to 389 million, implying that she has gained about 10 million followers in the same time frame.

 

While this could simply be due to supporters flooding Selena’s account in support, Kylie’s follower loss coincides with her name becoming entangled in the recent/somewhat tedious TikTok conflict between Selena and Hailey Bieber.

 

Kylie, who is friends with Hailey, was accused of harassing Selena when she shared a photo of her brow with the caption “this was an accident???” If this explanation has left you perplexed (which is normal), Kylie’s posts came shortly after Selena admitted to mistakenly over-laminating her brows.

 

Nevertheless, Kylie really jumped into the comments section of the aforementioned TikTok to put an end to this story, commenting, “This is a stretch. I never cast a shadow on Selena, and I never saw her brow posts! You’re creating something out of nothing. this is stupid.” And Selena reacted to her comment directly, tweeting, “@kyliejenner, I agree. It’s all pointless. Kylie Jenner is one of my favorite celebrities!”
