Emily Hampshire, star of Schitt’s Creek, has purchased a pair of residences in Los Angeles for $2.6 million.

Stevie Budd, who lives in a studio apartment and drives a station waggon, owns the decrepit Rosebud Motel in Schitt’s Creek on TV.

In real life, Emily Hampshire, who portrays the show’s flannel-clad queen of sarcasm, has purchased not one, but two residences in Los Angeles.

The 40-year-old Montreal native allegedly spent $2.65 million for a corner lot property in Silver Lake’s diverse community. The property’s listed agent, Lynne Pope, verified the November sale. She declined to divulge the buyer’s identity, citing privacy concerns.

Hampshire’s acquisition of two separate residences and a basement studio on Redesdale Avenue included two detached houses and a basement studio. But don’t anticipate anything like the scale of the opulent estate that the Rose family is forced to leave in Season 1. There are just 2,096 square feet of living space in all, much of which could possibly be taken up by Moira’s wig collection.

One of Silver Lake’s first homes was on Redesdale Avenue.

The original residence, a Spanish-Moorish one-bedroom constructed in 1927, was one of Silver Lake’s earliest. The other house, completed in 1949, is a one-bedroom mid-century bungalow. Both were recently remodelled, and it’s easy to imagine the actress who got her big break on Nickelodeon’s “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” appreciating the light, airy aesthetic.

Hampshire will be allowed to provide room service if she decides to transform the property into a boutique hotel. Both homes include contemporary kitchens outfitted with Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances.

The 9,000-square-foot site, which provides breathtaking views of the city, is likely large enough for a pool. Yes, the best-case scenario is that she posts a job opening and jets off to film Schitt’s Creek.
