Express Trains to Olympic Park for Coldplay Concert | Mirage News

More than 300,000 fans will descend on Accor Stadium over four nights as Coldplay comes to town.

As Coldplay prepares for four epic sold-out nights at Accor Stadium on Wednesday 6, Thursday 7, Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 November, as part of their record-breaking Music of the Spheres World Tour, public transport will be the best way for fans to travel to Olympic Park.

• A total of more than 1200 extra special event public transport services will run across the four nights.
• This includes more than 650 extra buses and 568 extra trains.
• The Express Trains full of Stars will run from Central to Olympic Park every 3-4 minutes
• To get people home, trains will depart Sydney Olympic Park every 3 minutes from 10:30pm, heading to Central, Campbelltown and Penrith.

Central Station Grand Concourse will be coloured in a bold range of colours, with lighting and decorations complimenting the band’s tour theme.

Sydney Trains will be in the spirit too, proudly displaying “Coldplay Music of the Spheres” on the destination board and playing onboard tracks including Higher Power, Something just like this, Sky Full of Stars, Good Feelings, Viva La Vida and Clocks.

There has never been a better time to catch public transport to a major event in Sydney, with Sydney Trains’ new adjusted timetable, a milestone one million people embracing the SouthWest Link connecting the community in Sydney’s southwest, and Sydneysiders embracing the new Sydney Metro.

The L1 light rail line has had it’s operating hours extended until 1am nightly, to bring it in line with other transport services and help everyone get home from a fun night out.

Sydney Trains plans trackwork around major events wherever possible, with work on the T2 Leppington & Inner West, T4 Illawarra, and T8 Airport and South and South Coast lines over the weekend scheduled for the early hours of the morning only, when it will not impact concert goers.
