Ezra Miller, star of “Flash,” consents to mental health treatment as a burglary court date approaches.

Flash actor Ezra Miller has made the decision to seek treatment to combat a self-described “period of intense crisis” following months of legal issues and an escalating PR nightmare for Warner Bros.

 

The Justice League alumnus Miller, who identifies as non-binary, said in a statement today that “having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering from complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment.” This comes one week after Vermont law enforcement charged the non-binary Miller with burglary.

 

They said, “I want to apologize to everyone I have been alarmed and upset by my past behavior. “I’m determined to putting in the time and effort required to return to a point in my life that is safe, secure, and productive.”

 

The sudden action Monday comes after at least two months of efforts to persuade Miller and his longtime CAA agent, Warner Bros, as well as their close friends, family, and coworkers, to seek assistance. The citation Miller got on August 7 to appear in Vermont Superior Court Bennington Criminal Division on September 26 for arraignment on the burglary accusation may have tipped the scales.
