According to Page Six, Prince Harry will participate in a special vigil for Queen Elizabeth II on Saturday while dressed in his military uniform.
Page Six has learned exclusively from a source that Harry, who had previously been informed he could not wear the military outfit, did not ask for the modification.
“He simply had something to dress for whatever his grandmother had in mind. He is only concerned about respecting her. I have no reason to believe that he won’t comply if they want him to be in uniform, according to our source.
It was a “ludicrous situation” in the first place, a source told The Daily Mirror, who broke the news on Thursday.
With everything he has done for veterans, “The Duke of Sussex has served his nation and is a highly valued member of the armed services,” a source told the publication. It’s crucial to make the Queen’s grandchildren feel at ease and welcome as they mourn their cherished grandma together.
The Queen’s eight grandchildren, including Princes William and Harry, are scheduled to stand by their grandmother’s casket on Saturday night for a 15-minute vigil.
Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, Zara and Peter Philips, Lady Louise and James, Viscount Severn, and the other grandchildren of the Queen will attend the vigil at Westminster Hall.
Harry may or may not be permitted to dress in his military uniform for the funeral on Monday.
Harry and his disgraced uncle, Prince Andrew, were informed earlier this week that they would not be permitted to attend the Queen’s burial on September 19 while dressed in their military uniforms.
When the 38-year-old Duke of Sussex left the royal life in 2020 and relocated to California with his wife, Meghan Markle, he was deprived of his military titles.
After a catastrophic BBC interview in which he defended his association with notorious billionaire and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and insisted he had never met his accuser Virginia Giuffre of sexual assault, Prince Andrew was compelled to leave public life in 2019. Later, he paid millions of dollars to Giuffre to resolve a civil action.
Harry, who served two front-line deployments of Afghanistan, was “saddened” by the choice, Page Six exclusively reported.

Throughout the celebrations honouring his grandmother, Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex, will dress in a morning suit, a Sussex family representative told Page Six on Tuesday.
We sincerely request that the focus be kept on the life and legacy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II because “his decade of military service is not dictated by the uniform he wears.”
