FOO FIGHTERS Confirm Three Headlining Concerts in the United States

FOO FIGHTERS have announced three additional headline performances, fulfilling their New Year’s Eve pledge to see you all shortly. The newly confirmed dates, which join a 2023 traveling schedule that includes Bonnaroo, Boston Calling, Harley-Davidson Homecoming, and others, are as follows:

 

May 24 – Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion, Gilford, NH
Walmart AMP – Rogers, AR – June 14
Oak Mountain Amphitheatre in Pelham, AL, on June 16th.

 

All three concerts will go on sale to the general public on Friday, March 3 at 10 a.m. local time. Pre-sales on Foofighters.com and Citi begin today, Tuesday, February 28th, at 12 p.m. EST.

 

Citi is the official credit card of the FOO FIGHTERS performances mentioned above. Citi cardholders will have access to presale tickets through the Citi Entertainment program beginning Tuesday, February 28 at 12 p.m. EST and ending Thursday, March 2 at 10 p.m. local time.

 

This past December, FOO FIGHTERS promised to carry on as “a different band” following the passing of drummer Taylor Hawkins.

 

The Dave Grohl-led band addressed its future in a New Year’s Eve message on social media.

 

According to the FOO FIGHTERS: “As we bid farewell to the most terrible and heartbreaking year that our band has ever known, we are reminded of how appreciative we are for the people that we love and cherish most, and for the loved ones who are no longer with us.

 

“FOO FIGHTERS was founded 27 years ago to symbolize the healing power of music and the continuation of life. And over the past 27 years, our followers have created a global community, a dedicated support network that has helped us all get through the worst of times together. A place where we may share our joys and sorrows, our dreams and anxieties, and unite in a chorus of life through music. We would not have become the band that we are without Taylor, and we know that without Taylor, we will be a different band in the future.

 

“We also know that you, the fans, meant as much to Taylor as he did to you, and we know that when we see you again — which we will soon — he’ll be there in spirit with all of us every night,” the statement continued.

 

Hawkins was discovered dead in a hotel room in Colombia in March 2022, just days before FOO FIGHTERS were scheduled to perform at a festival in Bogotá. He was fifty years old.

 

Although no cause of death was given, a toxicology study revealed residues of ten substances in his body, including opiates, marijuana, and antidepressants.

 

The investigators did not specify whether the medicine combination was a factor.

 

Hawkins had been the drummer with the FOO FIGHTERS for 25 years, taking over from original drummer William Goldsmith in 1997. His wife Alison and their three children survive him.

 

In memory of Hawkins, FOO FIGHTERS performed two memorial shows. The inaugural tribute concert took occur on September 3, 2022, at Wembley Stadium in London. On September 27, 2022, a concert in Los Angeles gathered funds for MusiCares and Music Support charities while also serving as a farewell celebration for Hawkins’ chosen hometown.

 

In the months following Hawkins’ death, other significant tributes included a segment during last year’s Grammy Awards, a drum circle in Taylor’s hometown, and a live rendition of the FOO FIGHTER’s song “My Hero” by over 1,000 musicians.
