The upgraded AirPods Pro and three Apple Watch models have been launched by Apple, but if you order through Apple right now, you’ll have to wait until October. Here’s another way to obtain them more quickly.
Since preorders became available, Apple has already observed that some models, including the iPhone 14 Pro, have experienced an increase in backorders. Though they always receive a stock of the newest gadgets on launch day, Apple Stores typically run out of stock as well.
There are several exclusions, particularly for the Apple Watch SE and the base model iPhone 14.
range of iPhone 14
On September 16, 2022, the iPhone 14 was released, and it is still on sale today for online ordering and in-store pickup. An iPhone 14 can be delivered today by 5pm for a $9 courier cost, and standard overnight delivery is free.
While the iPhone 14 Plus is scheduled to go on sale on October 7 rather than September 23, there is currently no shipment delay. Orders placed now for the iPhone 14 Plus in any colour and capacity will still be delivered by October 7.
The two iPhone 14 Pro versions are where there has been a pronounced delay.
Online orders for the iPhone 14 Pro in any colour and capacity indicate a minimum three-week wait. Delivery is anticipated by Apple to occur between October 18 and October 25.
The wait time for the iPhone 14 Pro Max has increased, and new orders should now take one month. Apple anticipates that all iPhone 14 Pro Max deliveries will take place between October 25 and November 1.
It is likely that stock will remain at Apple Stores. Pro models consistently show up as being out of stock for pickup in a random sample.
However, AT&T and Verizon are typically reliable places to look for new iPhones because they naturally come with carrier promotions.
selection of Apple Watches
The Apple Watch Series 8 in stainless steel is presently backordered for delivery between October 11 and October 18. The entry-level aluminium model, which can be bought for courier delivery or in-store pickup right now, does not appear to be experiencing any delays.
The Apple Watch SE exhibits no delays at the moment, which is the same.
However, the Apple Watch Ultra has a long backorder list even before its scheduled September 23 delivery. Today’s online purchase from Apple will be delivered between October 25 and November 1st.
The Apple Watch Ultra’s availability at independent retailers varies, however Amazon presently lists September 23 as the delivery date.
Additionally, purchasing Apple Watches from different vendors can result in better prices. Use this activation link and the discount code APINSIDER to save $15 on AppleCare when purchasing an Apple Watch Series 8 or Apple Watch SE from Adorama, for example. With this activation link and the same APINSIDER code, AppleCare for the Apple Watch Ultra is $20 off.
Pro AirPods
On September 23, Apple released the upgraded AirPods Pro 2, which are now backordered on their website.
The order to shipment wait for the AirPods Pro 2 from Apple is still not conceivable in September, albeit being less pronounced than it was for the Apple Watch Ultra or the iPhone 14 Pro. Online orders are instead given a shipment date that ranges from October 4 to October 11.
But only if you make a direct purchase from Apple. The AirPods Pro 2 are currently featured on Amazon, where you can also get shipment on September 23 and a discount of $10 off the full retail price.
