WWE decided to release tickets earlier than normal for WrestleMania 39, the Showcase of the Immortals that will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California (which I’ve heard is always up to no good), during the upcoming year.
This move appeared to have paid off, as WWE has now confirmed reports of record-breaking ticket sales from last Friday (Aug. 12), the first day they went on sale and one day after they conducted a Launch Party event in SoFi.

TICKET SALES FOR WRESTLEMANIA® 39 BREAK A RECORD
August 16, 2022, STAMFORD, Conn. The first-day ticket sales for WrestleMania 39 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles set a record, according to WWE® (NYSE: WWE). More tickets were sold in the first 24 hours than at any other WWE event in history, and sales were up 42% from the first day of WrestleMania 38 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
On the business’s Q2 2022 earnings call, WWE Executive Vice President Paul Levesque provided the figures. The firm said it had created its most successful second quarter in history, establishing records for revenue and adjusted OIBDA.
We have never sold that many WrestleMania tickets that quickly in almost 40 years, claimed Levesque. We are on course to sell out SoFi Stadium for both nights with those record attendance statistics.
On Saturday, April 1, and Sunday, April 2, 2023, WrestleMania 39 will take place. Only Peacock in the US and WWE Network elsewhere will broadcast the event live.

For the cities that have hosted the event over the past 12 years, WrestleMania has produced a total economic effect of more than $1.25 billion.
Depending on the setup, SoFi can accommodate 70,000–100,000 people. WrestleTix claims that the present WrestleMania setup can accommodate 50K fans, but given that they sold 80% of that in a single day, I would assume that more seats will likely become available between now and next April. The statistics provided by WrestleTix also show that most of those sales were not made to resale shops.
