Netflix has premiered the full-length trailer for “Spellbound,” the new animated fantasy musical feature from Skydance Animation which hits streaming on November 22nd.
The story follows a tenacious young princess (Rachel Zegler) who must go on a daring quest to save her family and their kingdom after a mysterious spell transforms her parents (Nicole Kidman & Javier Bardem) into monsters.
The trailer shows off Princess Ellian’s journey and the various difficulties and challenges she must face in order to break the curse.
Other voice cast members include John Lithgow as royal advisor Minister Bolinar, Jenifer Lewis as royal advisor Minister Nazara Prone, Nathan Lane and André De Shields as The Oracles of the Sun and Moon, and Jordan Fisher as young nomad Callan.
Vicky Jenson (“Shrek”) directs from a script co-written by “Mulan” duo Lauren Hynek and Elizabeth Martin along with Linda Woolverton (“The Lion King”).
It also boasts an original score from EGOT-winning composer Alan Menken and lyrics by Glenn Slater. Julia Miranda, John Lasseter, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Bruce Anderson, and Linda Woolverton produce.
