Funko and 10:10 Games are working together to make a “AAA action platformer.” It will start in 2023 and will be led by Jon Burton, who has won five BAFTA awards.
In a press release, Funko CEO Andrew Perlmutter said, “Creating iconic products that emotionally connect fans to their favorite fandoms is key to every product portfolio decision.” “By working with 10:10 Games and the best creators in the business, we’ll be able to make games that have the same look and feel as all of Funko’s lines and products.”
10:10 Games design director Arthur Parsons added, “Funko is an iconic brand that really knows what it takes to make a world-class video game. 10:10 Games is excited to give their fans and other video gamers a new experience.
Funko and 10:10 Games will focus on making “AAA content” for current and next-generation consoles, PC, and game that doesn’t have a name yet. This first game will have “major third-party studio integration,” and the Entertainment Software Rating Board is likely to give it a “T” rating, which means it is for teens.
