Glass Animals have just revealed which Aussie artist will be warming up the stage for their massive Australian headline tour this monthwhich includes a double-header at the iconic Sydney Opera House Forecourt, with the UK chart-toppers hand-picking local indie-pop rockstar MAY-A to do the honours.

An ARIA-nominated singer-songwriter, MAY-A catapulted to stardom with her 2021 debut EP,Don’t Kiss Your Friendsbefore going on to top the triple j Hottest 100 in 2022 with her Flume collab,  ‘Say Nothing’.

MAY-A – ‘Guilty Conscience’

MAY-A will be appearing at all four of Glass Animals’ monster shows in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney this month, with the first of those two Opera House dates already selling out.

Glass Animals, the Hottest 100-topping, Grammy-nominated, Platinum-selling British act, are touring in honour of their fourth studio album,I Love You So F***ing Muchwhich forms the follow-up to Glass Animals’ 2020 LPDreamlandwhich sold over 12 million copies globally and gave life to ‘Heat Waves’, which was voted #1 in the triple j Hottest 100 and is now x19 Platinum ARIA-accredited.

“Australia. We love you so f***ing much,” Glass Animals frontman Dave Bayley said in a press statement. “When we first came to tour over there, we only had like four songs. So we played them twice. And you forgave us. And then you gave us our first ever hottest 100 success with ‘Gooey’. And then you embraced ‘Heat Waves’ so hard I tattooed the shape of Australia on my arse cheek.”

He continued: “It is my only tattoo. I forget it’s there sometimes and it startles me when I get out of my bubble bath. But it makes me v happy. And I feel the same announcing this new Australian tour. The same happiness I feel when looking at my arse in the mirror. See you soon.”
