A Grammys executive producer has weighed in on Bianca censori’s controversial red carpet appearance during the Sunday, February 2, awards.

Raporwho produced Sunday’s telecast, told People in an interview published Tuesday, February 4, that the dress code set by the Recording Academy calls for “artistic black-tie,” but “in the music industry, I guess that’s up for interpretation.”

“Obviously there is a dress code for anybody actually performing on the show that we have to adhere to standards and practices. But as far as people attending and nominees attending, that would be something the [Recording] Academy would have to answer,” he added.

Kanye West47, and his model wife, 30, turned heads at Sunday’s Grammys as she posed on the red carpet in a completely sheer dress. Kapoor told People Tuesday that the couple were not assigned seats at the ceremony, where West was nominated for Best Rap Song for “Carnival” from his Vultures 1 album.

“From what I understand, they were there for the red carpet,” Kapoor said. “I’m not sure if he was at Pre-Tel, which is at the Peacock Theater before the main show.”

Although reports initially surfaced that the duo had been kicked out of the event because of the controversial wardrobe choice, a source later confirmed to Us Weekly that they had “left on their own accord.”

“He is a master of publicity stunts,” the insider told Us. “He knows how to stay in the game.” The insider pointed out that West “knows what to do” when it comes to his vision. “He’s a master. He directs the ship and makes sure everyone knows that.”

“He was credentialed and invited to the red carpet. He went to make an appearance and get attention because that is what he does and he left to go to his after-party,” the source continued. “He was not kicked out. He went to make a statement and to get everyone buzzing and talking. And then go to his after party. He had no intention of staying at the Grammys.”

After departing Sunday’s event, West and Censori still made a night of it, as the couple packed on the PDA at a Grammys after-party where the model changed into a second look, rocking a barely-there mesh bodysuit.

West addressed his wife’s red carpet appearance Tuesday. “Ask me how it was to beat the Grammys,” West told photographers before heading into a recording studio on Tuesday alongside Censori, per TMZ. “We beat the Grammys.”
