Heartland and Slasher: Solstice director Robert Cormier passed away. 33 Years Old

Robert Cormier, a TV and movie actor, passed away on September 23. He was most known for his roles as Finn Cotter on the enduring Canadian series Heartland and as Slasher: Solstice on Netflix. He was 33. The reason of death was not disclosed.

 

Cormier has played Finn on CBC’s Heartland for the past two seasons. Heartland has aired for 15 seasons and is the longest-running one-hour drama in Canadian television history. The United States syndicates it as well.

His other television appearances include Ransom on CBS, Designated Survivor on ABC/Netflix, and two episodes of American Gods on Starz, where he played Winston.

 

He made a cameo at the 2018 Toronto Film Festival world premiere of Firecrackers, a movie directed by Jasmin Mozaffari. Otto in Pyrenees (2018) and Al in The Intersection are two further big-screen appearances (2019).

 

The Heartland production expressed its “deep sorrow” over Robert Cormier’s loss on social media on Tuesday. He was a cherished cast member of Heartland for the previous two seasons. The Heartland cast and crew send their condolences to him and his family, who have requested privacy at this trying time.

 

Heartland’s U.S.-based network UpTV commented, “Robert Cormier, called Heartland’s Finn, was an outstanding talent, gone too young.” “Our shock at hearing of his passing is deep. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to his friends, family, and coworkers.

 

Parents Robert and Lisa Cormier, sisters Brittany, Krystal, and Stephanie, grandma Joanne, as well as aunts, uncles, and cousins, all survive him.
