Nigerian artist David Adeleke, known as Davido, has proudly shared details about his extensive network of contacts.
During his appearance at the ‘Elevate Africa’ event, he asserted that he possesses the phone numbers of 14 presidents.
He elaborated on how his musical career has created numerous opportunities for his family.
He said, “Aside from my dad’s businesses and wealth, I know how many doors my music has opened for my family. Yes o, forget the money. I have 14 presidents’ phone numbers. I can call them directly.
“In every country we go to, the president wants to meet us. That’s also promoting our culture. It’s an amazing feeling.”

In other news, Nigerian singer Ayodeji Balogun, widely recognized as Wizkid and a Grammy award winner, has shared insights into his musical influences. The afrobeats artist stated that women serve as a significant source of inspiration for his work.
In a now-deleted post on X, he expressed, “Women inspire music! Gods on earth.” Wizkid is particularly noted for his romantic tracks, which are often dedicated to women. His most recent album, ‘Morayo,’ is a tribute to his late mother, Morayo Jane Balogun.
This album has achieved remarkable success, breaking Tyla’s record for the highest number of first-week streams for an African album on Spotify, amassing 48 million streams within just six days. It has eclipsed Tyla’s former record of 46.4 million streams.
Additionally, ‘Morayo’ has established a new benchmark for the largest opening week for an African album on Spotify, with a total of 52.8 million streams.
