In order to regain custody of Prince, 9 months, Aaron Carter checks into rehab: “I need my son back,”

In the midst of their tumultuous relationship, Aaron Carter and Melanie Martin lost custody of their 9-month-old baby Prince. Carter said that he’s voluntarily joined a recovery facility ahead of a court date later this month in a new interview with The Sun.

Carter stated in a video statement that “helping with the weed” was the primary motivation for enrolling. “I don’t need to or want to smoke pot anymore.”

As ordered by the court due to drug and domestic abuse concerns, Prince is currently being held in detention with Martin’s mother.

“Carter continued, “This will be my sixth time in treatment, but I haven’t had any relapses; it’s just that triggers are really big for me right now. I desire my son’s return.”

The 34-year-old “I Want Candy” singer stated he is in an outpatient rehab programme in the new interview, which was published on Tuesday.

Carter said, “I work with a personal counsellor and it’s an abstinence programme. “I participate in group therapy, parenting programmes, domestic violence workshops, CPR certification training, and many other various activities. Being a parent is new, but it has really turned out to be a lot of fun and thrilling, and it has opened up a new chapter in my life. It’s been incredible.”

At the beginning of the video, Martin also made an appearance and stated that she and Carter are “figuring” things out. Both of them expressed a desire to wed.

Weeks after Prince was born, Carter and Martin broke up, only to get back together and do it again. Both parties have accused one another of domestic abuse.

“I desire my son’s return. There it is, the headline: “I want my son back,” “Carter spoke with The Sun.

Carter claimed that despite having a licence to cultivate medical marijuana, he “threw away” everything voluntarily.

The most significant thing to me, he continued, is being a father. Just acting like an adult, being domesticated, civilised, and taking care of my obligations.
