Gigi and Bella Hadid’s mother Yolanda was questioned for her parenting in a well-known TikTok, where it was claimed that she starved her children in order to support their modelling careers.
On Thursday, Yolanda, 58, seemed to address criticism of a notorious “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” incident in which she advised Gigi, who had informed her mother that she felt “weak,” to eat “a few of nuts.”

Yolanda was seen in her video eating a large bowl of almonds while performing activities like inspecting her garden and visiting her horse.
Yolanda tweeted “#worstmomeever,” adding “#almonds.”
Insider’s request for comment was not immediately answered by Yolanda Hadid’s representatives.
The allegations against Yolanda were revealed by TikTok user pattypopculture in a video uploaded in July, according to reports from People and US Weekly. The TikTok user stated in the video that Yolanda shared clips from the family’s stint on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” and encouraged her daughters to adhere to tight diets.

“She obsessively monitored their meals to ensure they never consumed too many calories. On their birthday, not even cake, “claimed the TikTok user.
In one scene, Gigi admits to her mother that she is “very weak” while speaking with Yolanda on the phone.
Gigi admitted to Yolanda, “I had, like, half an almond.”
Former model Yolanda offered advice, saying, “Have a few nuts and chew them really well.”
The video had more than 771,000 likes and six million views as of Sunday. Similar videos have garnered popularity on TikTok, including one with seven million views that compared Yolanda and Kris Jenner’s approaches to talking about food with their respective kids.
Both Gigi and Bella have discussed body image after leaving “The Real Housewives.”
Gigi responded to her weight-related detractors in 2015 with a lengthy Instagram post.
“I don’t have the same physique as the other show models, no. I don’t believe I’m the best at any particular show, no. Yes, I want to have a distinctive walk, but I also realise I need to get better “Gigi typed.
She added: “I represent a body a body image that wasn’t accepted in high-fashion before, and I’m very lucky to be supported by designers, stylists, and editors that I am: ones that know this is fashion, it’s art; it can never stay the same.”
In March 2022, Bella said that a prescription for Adderall and a calorie-tracking app contributed to her high school anorexia.
“I would pack my tiny lunch, which included a celery stalk and three raspberries. I was just trying, I realize now, to feel in control of myself when I felt so out of control of everything else,” Bella told Vogue. I still find it difficult to look in the mirror because of that time in my life.
