It’s been three months since the holidays, yet two radio stations are still playing Christmas tunes.

It’s not simply a holiday for these two radio stations; it’s an attitude. Christmas music has been played nonstop for the previous five to six months on the US radio stations 92.7 FM in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and 1230 AM in Gainesville, Florida, according to RadioInsight.com on Friday.

For the second year in a row, one radio station has been celebrating Christmas into March with a holiday music playlist that has apparently been the longest to date.

Broadcasting News reports that 92.7 FM’s main brand, conservative talk “Nooga Radio,” relocated to 96.9 FM in the autumn.

According to court filings, the seller of the Gainesville station has been accused by a bidder of racial prejudice in the sale of the station.

Although their subsequent broadcaster move may be some indicator, the Post sought out radio station owners and operators for comment on their ongoing Christmas programming.

This past year, Richmond, Virginia’s 100.9 radio station maintained the Christmas atmosphere alive until March 4 before re-launching as a classic hits radio station under a new moniker.
