Jennifer Lopez’s green Ben Affleck engagement ring

Jennifer Lopez announced her second engagement to actor Ben Affleck via her “On The JLo” newsletter on Friday night.

In the centre of Jennifer’s 8.5 ct. natural green diamond,

“I am stunned if that is a green diamond,” Diamond Pro CEO Mike Fried told Page Six Style. An engagement ring with a green diamond of that size is extremely rare. The ring is worth over $5 million and could be worth over $10 million.”

Green also has a special meaning for the “Let’s Get Loud” singer.

Previously, Lopez, 52, stated that green is her lucky colour. “Perhaps you recall a green dress. Amazing things have happened to me when I was wearing green.”

Lopez’s love of green extends to her favourite artwork, a green bird perched on someone’s hand with the words “Let Go.”

“I don’t buy much art,” she admitted. “I love hummingbirds and the colour green. Birds always circle me. I’ve always had a thing for hummingbirds. I realised they represent love for many. So it’s like they follow me everywhere. They appear by my window whenever I am in doubt or confusion, reminding me that the universe always speaks to us if we are open to the signs.”

It was reported this week that Lopez had been photographed wearing a large diamond ring on her left hand, though the photos were blurry.

In November 2002, Affleck proposed to J. Lo with a 6.1-carat pink diamond ring from Harry Winston, which she called “the most magnificent thing I’ve ever seen.”

Lopez’s ex, Alex Rodriguez, proposed to her with a $1.8 million flawless 16-carat emerald-cut diamond ring.
