‘Jeopardy!’ Huge Announcement on Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik’s Hosting Schedule

There has been some misunderstanding among Jeopardy! watchers regarding who exactly is hosting the program over the coming months, as Mayim Bialik recently took over from Ken Jennings to helm the High School Reunion Tournament.

The show’s longtime producer Sarah Foss cleared things up on Monday’s Inside Jeopardy! podcast, disclosing the dates of Jennings’ anticipated comeback and Bialik’s remaining schedule. The G.O.A.T. of Jeopardy! will handle things until the end of April, when the Call Me Kat star will take over for the rest of the season.

“Ken Jennings will be returning on March 10th, and then he’ll complete the rest of his syndicated run until April 28th,” Foss said. “And then, on May 1st, Mayim will take over, and she will see us through the summer.”

Bialik is now hosting the High School Reunion Tournament, in which 27 past young contestants compete in a special 14-day special event, with the ultimate winner taking home a $100,000 grand prize and a seat in the Tournament of Champions.

As usual, the reaction to the host’s move was mixed, with one Jeopardy! “I wonder if there’s a single fan out there who truly favors this hosting hand-off setup over simply one host,” wrote one Reddit user.

“If the option is 100% Mayim versus this hand-off situation, I prefer the hand-off,” another forum user said. But, Ken would be my first choice for syndication.”

Others, on the other hand, seemed content with Jennings and Bialik taking turns. “I enjoy how Ken hosts the syndicated show and Mayim hosts the prime-time show,” one fan commented. “It makes the programs feel different (not better or worse, just different), and I’m used to it now. I enjoy Ken as the host, but I also like Mayim. She’s improved, not as much as Ken, but definitely.”

“In the United Kingdom, there are shows that frequently change hosts. “Why chose one host when both bring people from different segments to watch the show without completely alienating the other segments?” another said. “I prefer Ken, but I’m not against Mayim. I believe it is beneficial for young women to witness someone in that position “being clever.”
