Journey Theater to present six performances of Annie

Flaunt Weeekly Legendary musical will be performed at Fort Vancouver High School, with opening night set for Feb. 28

The legendary story of Annie is coming soon to a stage in Vancouver, courtesy of Journey Theater.

Annie is determined to find the parents who abandoned her years ago on the doorstep of a New York City orphanage that is run by the cruel, embittered Miss Hannigan. With the help of other girls at the orphanage, Annie escapes to the wondrous world of NYC.

In adventure after fun-filled adventure, Annie foils Miss Hannigan’s evil machinations and even befriends President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Along the way, she finds a new home and family with Oliver Warbucks, a billionaire, his personal assistant Grace Farrell, and a loveable dog named Sandy.

Journey Theater is proud to present this family-friendly musical, featuring a cast of talented, local youth ready to perform for the greater community.

Tickets are on sale now for the six scheduled performances:

Annie will be performed at Fort Vancouver High School on Friday, Feb. 28 at 7 p.m., then again at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 1. Then again the following Friday night, March 7, at 7 p.m., and then 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. performances on Saturday, March. 8.

Tickets are $19 for adults and $17 for youth and senior citizens. Tickets can be purchased at https://journeytheater.org/ or by calling 360-750-8550.  Tickets are $20 more at the door, if there are tickets remaining on show days.

Journey is a Jesus-centered theater arts program that exists to grow youth and their families in character and purpose to be difference-makers in their world. Journey has served Clark County since 2002.
