Los Angeles, USA -“https://www.thetrentonline.com/tag/Kanye-West/” target=”_blank” rel=”noopener”> Kanye Westthe Grammy-winning rapper and fashion mogul, has revealed that he no longer listens to rap music, saying the genre no longer provides useful information to help him grow his wealth.

The 47-year-old billionaire made the statement in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Friday, February 7, 2025. expressing his disinterest in keeping up with the music that once defined his career.

“I don’t listen to rap. I don’t know who the f*** is rapping anymore. Yuno Miles is likely my favourite artist,” West wrote on his now-deleted X account.

“I’m a 47-year-old billionaire, why the f*** would you listen to rap? There’s not one piece of information in rap that benefits my agendas or helps me get money.”

West, who has been a dominant force in the music industry for over two decades, built his reputation through a fusion of hip-hop, soul, and electronic music, producing some of the most influential rap albums of the 21st century.

His latest comments signal a shift in priorities as he continues to focus on business ventures, including his Yeezy brand and recent collaborations in fashion and technology.

The rapper has often used social media to share unfiltered opinions on a range of topics, from politics and race to personal relationships.

His remarks frequently spark controversy, drawing both criticism and support from his followers.

His latest post comes amid ongoing discussions about his personal life, particularly his marriage to Australian model Bianca Censori.

West recently defended his role in his wife’s fashion choices after her semi-transparent outfit at the Grammy Awards sparked widespread debate.

“I have dominion over my wife. This ain’t no woke as feminist s*** she’s with a billionaire. Why would she listen to any of you dumb a** broke b******?” he wrote.

“People say the red carpet look was her decision. She definitely wouldn’t have been able to do it without my approval, my stupid a** woke pawns.”

West and Censori, 30, have been married since 2022, and their public appearances often generate attention, with many observers scrutinising their dynamic.

Despite his apparent disengagement from rap, West remains an influential figure in music, fashion, and popular culture, with his views continuing to shape discussions across multiple industries.
