Kelsey Grammer is remembering his friend and former costar Kirstie Alley, who died of cancer in December at the age of 71.
Grammer described Alley as “radiant” during an interview on “The Rachael Ray Show.”
“I adored Kirstie,” he said. “She was always stunning. She simply had that quality about her. She was a beautiful human being, and it showed.”
“She knew how to love,” he added. She was always open about her feelings.”
Grammer recalled a period when he “was in trouble with the law,” and Alley was one of the few individuals who truly backed him.
“She appeared,” he said. “She was one of the only people who showed up to be supportive, which was fantastic. She was continually making me chuckle. I laughed at everything she did. When I first visited her house, there were lemurs on the yard, and I thought to myself, “Only in Her world.”
Grammer said one of the last times he was supposed to meet her was at a book signing for a buddy, but she did not show up.
“Kirstie was visibly missing, and she was gone about a week later,” he claimed.
“I’m simply happy that I even knew her, and I’m thrilled that you shared some of those ideas with us,” Ray answered. Thank you so much, my friend.”
