Larsa Pippen Reveals Her Emotions for ‘Best Friend’-Turned-Boyfriend Marcus Jordan: ‘I Was Jealous’

Larsa Pippen tells PEOPLE that the moment she realized she and Marcus Jordan were more than just friends “sort of clinched the deal.”

Larsa Pippen is opening up about the moment she discovered she was more than just pals with her now-boyfriend Marcus Jordan.

The Real Housewives of Miami actress, 48, tells PEOPLE exclusively that their relationship turned amorous after she became jealous after a night out with Michael Jordan’s kid.

“I believe we went out one night and there was a female there. She was attempting to converse with him, and I was envious “She remembers. “It was strange since I’m not a jealous person, yet I was jealous of the circumstance.”

She continues: “So I started thinking that maybe I do like him. That very much sealed the deal.”

After meeting through mutual acquaintances at a party in Los Angeles four years ago, the couple “had a great foundation as friends,” according to the television personality. The couple has been dating since September and made their relationship Instagram official on Valentine’s Day.

“I do feel like timing is crucial and it began off simply getting to know each other and then, here we are,” she explains.

Pippen, who divorced ex-husband Scottie Pippen in January 2022, also discussed the disadvantages of dating before meeting her “best friend” Jordan.

“I just couldn’t be open and open to different guys,” she says. “I would see flaws in every man… I had all these oddball thoughts, and then Marcus appears from heaven. And I’m like, I like him in every way.”

While the reality star admits that relationships are “very difficult,” she expresses a desire to satisfy Jordan.

“I usually joke around and say, ‘Oh my Goodness, if Marcus instructed me to tint my hair green, I’m going to do it,'” she explains. “I feel obligated to make him happy because he makes me so happy.”

She goes on to say that she has never trusted Jordan before. “The trouble is, I prefer to be led [in relationships], but I’ve never trusted someone to lead me until now.”

Jordan will appear on the hit Bravo show RHOM “a little bit,” according to Pippen.

“I don’t want to put him under too much strain. He seems to have signed up for me “She elaborates. “I don’t think he signed up for the show, but I feel like we’re together now, and if there are events and whatnot, he’d generally go with me, so he’d come there as well.”
