Blizzard’s hero shooter Overwatch 2 will support cross-play and cross-progression across all of its platforms when it comes in October. Starting on Tuesday, current Overwatch players may combine their accounts across Xbox, PlayStation, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch to create a single account that contains all of their cosmetics, credits, and gaming data.
You’ll need a Battle.net account, of course, as cross-play in Overwatch has been prohibited since 2021. In a detailed FAQ, Blizzard explains how to merge multiple Overwatch accounts and how things like in-game credits, Overwatch League tokens, achievements, and competitive and skill ratings will be handled. In other words, most things will add up or you’ll obtain the highest figure corresponding to a certain statistic.
But there are some caveats. If you have numerous accounts on a console or multiple accounts on a PC, you must choose which of them to combine into your single Battle.net account because players can only merge one account per platform. Additionally, Overwatch League tokens acquired on the Nintendo Switch will stay on that system rather than being combined into a single account.
The specifics are in Blizzard’s complete FAQ, but much of it sounds simple and something Overwatch players should do before the “early access” launch of Overwatch 2 on October 4.
Some of the most bothersome adversaries I can imagine in a fight are Elden Ring’s dogs. Even after playing the game for hundreds of hours, one minor error during a battle with a dog could cause me to lose all of my runes. I was trying to figure out what it was about the dog-like opponents in FromSoft that made them so annoying to battle. So, until I discovered why dogs are a pain in my butt, I put away my weapons and raised my fists to every dog in the Lands Between, including the Monstrous Dogs and the Red Wolf of Radagon.
