Leakers point to earlier than expected launch for Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra

According to new reports, Samsung has settled on a date for its next Galaxy Unpacked event, where it is expected to reveal the Galaxy S23 series. Purportedly, the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra will all arrive as February rolls around, leaving just six weeks until the arrival of Samsung’s next-generation flagships.

Leakers have finally shared a precise date for the launch of the Galaxy S23 series. Over the last few weeks, many sources have suggested that Samsung’s next flagship smartphones would arrive during the first week of February, which would be slightly earlier in the year than the current Galaxy S22 series. According to the likes of@AhmedQwaider888and@UniverseIcewe may have as little as six weeks to wait for the arrival of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Specifically, the pair alleged that Samsung has set its next Galaxy Unpacked event for February 1, leaving other Android OEMs little time to be the first to launch Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-branded smartphones globally. The Galaxy S23 series appears to feature an overclocked Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 too, potentially giving it an edge over the Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro and others.

Based on earlier rumours, Samsung will host the hardware launch event in San Francisco. While the company has now returned to in-person events, it should also be live-streamed on social media channels globally. Typically, Samsung also refreshes other product lines during a Galaxy Unpacked event, such as earbuds and laptops. With all signs pointing towards manufacturers revealing 13th Gen Intel Core and AMD Ryzen 7000-powered laptops during CES 2023, we suspect that Samsung will wait until February 1 before revealing the Intel Core i7-13700H and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050-powered laptop that leaked last month.
