Lizzo Appears to React to Kanye West’s Remarks About Her Weight during Concert in Toronto

Kanye “Ye” West made a subtle remark regarding Lizzo’s weight during his appearance on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Tonight.

 

The “About Damn Time” singer addressed how frequently her name is mentioned in interviews with the media during her performance at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena on Friday, October 7.

The R&B singer’s remarks follow Ye’s Thursday interview with Carlson, in which the rapper discussed his views on the media’s “demonic” promotion of obesity, which he claimed was a part of a scheme to speed the “genocide of the Black race.”

 

Ye said to Carlson that when Lizzo reveals she has lost 10 pounds, “the bots… on Instagram bash her for losing weight because the media wants to spread the impression that being overweight is the new objective when it’s actually unhealthy.” It is diabolical,

 

Lizzo also took a minute at the 2022 MTV VMAs in late August to not-so-subtly criticise comedian Aries Spears for his remarks about her during an interview with The Art of Dialogue.

 

Lizzo yelled over the microphone as she accepted the Video for Good award for “About Damn Time”: “And now, to the b—-es that has something to say about me in the press.” “I’m not going to say anything,” I said.
