(CNN) — Country musician Luke Bell, who went missing earlier this month, has been found dead, according to Tucson Police Department officer Frank Magos. He was 32.
According to Magos, Bell, who released his first studio album in 2012, was “found in the 5500 block of E. Grant Road in Midtown Tucson.”
“The investigation is still ongoing,” Magos said.
When reached by CNN, Bell’s manager, Neill Smith, said he didn’t “have any additional information to provide.”
Friends reported Bell, a singer-songwriter from Cody, Wyoming, missing more than a week ago.
Known for songs such as “Where Ya Been?” and “Sometimes,” Bell has opened for artists such as Dwight Yoakam and Hayes Carll.
Following the news of Bell’s death, singer-songwriter Kelsey Waldon tweeted: “I was deeply saddened to learn of Luke Bell’s death. We met in Nashville when we were young and obsessed with country music – those were formative years for us. He was extremely gifted and unique. Today, pay attention to Luke. Now, old friend, rest in peace.”
